COMMUNITY CONNECTION
South Salt Lake City's Community Connection program is establishing partnerships to create a safe, clean, and beautiful city. Each year one specific neighborhood in South Salt Lake is identified to focus resources and volunteers. These partners are:
- community residents
- business owners
- dedicated volunteers and non-profit organizations
- the City of South Salt Lake administration and staff.
Our partners are connecting volunteers with projects in our city to:
- repair and revitalize homes
- landscape
- remove debris
- transform neighborhoods.
How to Get Involved
Volunteers can help South Salt Lake residents who qualify by:
- repairing your home exterior or roof
- painting your home
- planting a tree
- improving energy efficiency
- making critical repairs
- removing unwanted debris
- identifying lead paint
- eliminating graffiti
- disposing of trash
Businesses can:
Donate resources:
- supplies and tools (shovels, rakes, paint, brushes, landscaping plants, etc.)
- food and drinks for volunteers
Sponsor printing (brochures, posters, and flyers) to advertise projects
Participate:
- schedule an employee day of service
- take part in project work days on your block
- encourage others to participate
- improve your business exterior, landscaping, and safety.
Dedicated volunteers and nonprofit organizations can partner with Community Connection to:
- identify a project
- get community volunteers involved
- share your success stories and photos with Community Connection
