Downtown South Salt Lake

South Salt Lake is building a downtown city center. This is one of the most significant actions in South Salt Lake's 75-year history, and likely the next century. The City anticipates no less than 2,500 mulit-family housing units, 1.5 million square feet of retail and 3 million square feet of office/commercial space, plus parks, a greenway, Parley's Trail and cultural and social attractions over this 235-acre neighborhood. 

Master Plan and Land Use Code

Masterplan The City of South Salt Lake recently adopted a master plan and formed based zoning code for the Downtown District. These documents develop the vision that will make Downtown South Salt Lake one of the most innovative neighborhoods in Salt Lake County. The Boyer Company, in partnership with Cowboy Partners and the South Salt Lake City Redevelopment Agency, will break ground soon on a 14.5 acre mixed use redevelopment to include an 85,000 square foot WinCo Foods, 30,000 square feet of associated retail commercial, and 277 multifamily units along the S-Line and 2100 S. As a mixed use center with a transit-oriented site design, this project will be the catalyst for South Salt Lake's downtown redevelopment.
