Planning and Zoning is responsible for administering adopted plans and standards for all aspects of land use in the City of South Salt Lake.
The DOWNLOADS links to the right are established to provide information, services, and forms related to land use and development.
Please contact staff with any questions. Applications are available upon request and predevelopment consultation.
Applicants must submit complete applications for review by the City in accordance with the terms of the South Salt Lake Municipal Code. Once plans are submitted, they are subject to compliance reviews by various city departments and may be returned to the applicant if found to be inconsistent with the requirements of the South Salt Lake Municipal Code. Application submission is no way guarantees placement on the application on any particular agenda of any city reviewing body.

To aid you in navigating the development and permit process, South Salt Lake offers predevelopment consultants on Wednesday afternoons, starting at 1:30 pm, by appointment only. This is your opportunity to meet with a Planner, a Building Inspector, a Public Works inspector, and the Fire Marshal, who can answer questions regarding your project or plans. The meetings are open to property owners, developers, architects, engineers, and brokers.
To schedule a 30-minute predevelopment consultation, contact Jeff Attermann (801-412-3224) or Alex White (801-483-6011). Please fill out and submit the Predevelopment Intake Form and all of the specified documents prior to the scheduled meeting date.
