2019-2020 Budget

My budget priorities for South Salt Lake are public safety, economic development and infrastructure improvements. I’m pleased to see our City Council agrees. It’s imperative that we fund these needs in ways that don’t put other important services to residents at risk.

Mayor Cherie Wood was invited by former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to participate on a panel of mayors at his National After School Summit on March 24, 2015. His team had heard of Mayor Wood's Promise South Salt Lake Initiative, and the importance of after school programs in our community. Mayor Wood shared her initiative on a national level, with hopes of influencing Washington not to cut funding for after school programs
